A payment gateway is the secure layer between your customer, your business and the banks. It authorises each transaction, encrypts the card or account data, and passes the funds on to be settled.
Boldrails provides this as a licensed principal, not a broker. A gateway transmits and authorises a payment; a processor moves the money to your account. We do both, so you deal with one provider for the whole flow. That keeps integration simple and settlement predictable, whether you collect by card, bank transfer, mobile money or crypto.

Pricing is custom. In markets like Nigeria, public provider pricing puts local card fees around 1.5% to 2%, with higher rates on international cards, and rates vary by market. We quote your rate by volume, market and vertical, so high-volume merchants pay less per transaction. There are no hidden setup or monthly fees in your quote. Tell us your numbers and we will price it. Every card transaction we handle runs on PCI DSS controls.
Settlement & payouts
How settlement and mass payouts work
We settle your money in fiat or crypto, to a local account or a wallet, depending on the market. One platform handles both sides of the flow: collections coming in and mass payouts going out.
Most gateways only collect. We disburse to suppliers, partners, drivers or creators at scale, through the same API and dashboard. Settlement speed depends on the market and the rail, so we confirm your timing during onboarding and there are no surprises. For high-volume disbursement, our payout API and bulk payout tools move thousands of transfers in one call.

Is Boldrails licensed and secure?
Yes. Boldrails is a licensed payment provider, and we hold the licences ourselves across the markets we serve. We do not route you through a chain of partners.
Every card transaction runs on PCI DSS controls. We verify each business with KYC and KYB checks before going live, and we monitor for AML risk on an ongoing basis. Security and compliance are part of the product, not an add-on.
