What it is

What is Boldrails crypto OTC?

Boldrails runs a crypto OTC desk for large trades. We quote a fixed price, convert between fiat and stablecoins, and settle the whole ticket off the public order book. You get one quote and one settlement instead of an order worked across public venues while the price moves against you, and you deal with one desk from first quote to final settlement. Every counterparty and every ticket is screened for KYB, AML and sanctions before it settles.

The desk moves value in stablecoins like USDT and USDC over the settlement network that fits each route, then pays out in local currency to a bank account or mobile wallet. You settle the funding or payout leg in fiat or crypto, whichever suits your treasury.

This is the hub for our crypto OTC products. Remittance corridors are the core use case, with cross-border payouts and treasury settlement built on the same rails.

One practical difference from an exchange. We open the accounts the fiat side settles into, so the banking rails come with the desk instead of being arranged separately, and there is no integration work: no API, no exchange account, no trading infrastructure to stand up. A dealer works the quote and a terminal is there if your team wants it.

What we settle

Assets and networks we settle over

We settle in the stablecoins and networks that move value cheapest and fastest for each route, and we convert to and from local fiat on both legs.

AssetRoleNetworks
USDTPrimary settlement stablecoinTRC20, Solana, Polygon, Ethereum
USDCRegulated-flow stablecoinSolana, Stellar, Ethereum, Polygon

We pick the network per corridor, so settlement lands in minutes rather than the days a correspondent-bank transfer typically takes. We confirm the exact asset, network, and settlement window for your route when you apply.

Use cases

What you can use the desk for

One licensed desk, several jobs. Each runs on the same principal settlement and compliance relationship.

  • Remittance corridors

Convert and settle high-volume cross-border payments in stablecoins and pay out in local fiat and mobile money across Africa, LATAM, Asia, MENA, and Australia.

  • Gaming operator settlement

Accept crypto player deposits, settle in stablecoins or fiat, disburse player payouts, and run an OTC desk for operator treasury, all through one desk and one contract.

  • Cross-border payouts

Disburse to many recipients at once, settling each payout in fiat or crypto, with one counterparty and one reconciliation.

  • Treasury settlement

Move value between markets and convert fiat and stablecoins at a fixed quote, without order-book slippage on large tickets.

Licensing and compliance

Supervised activity, screened on every flow

Crypto OTC and virtual-asset activity is a supervised activity in every market we serve. The table below maps the regulator and the licence type that governs it per market, so you can see the framework this desk operates within before you trade. It is market context rather than a claim about any single registration.

We run KYC, KYB, and AML checks at onboarding and sanctions screening, including OFAC, on every trade. You contract with one named desk and settle against one counterparty, so your funds move through a screened, contracted route rather than an anonymous peer or an informal rail.

Moving crypto for a customer also carries a transfer-information duty, and it applies at any transfer size in most major regimes. Start with the Travel Rule for crypto businesses.

Who it's for

Who the desk is for

We build for the operators and businesses that move value across borders at volume.

  • Remittance processors and money transfer operators

  • Fintech operators building a cross-border transfer product

  • Businesses running cross-border payroll or vendor payouts

  • Treasury teams converting between fiat and stablecoins at volume

  • High-risk and high-volume verticals that need reliable settlement

  • Gaming and forex operators that need cross-border settlement

  • If your business moves large sums across borders, the desk gives you one licensed counterparty for the whole flow.
